Colonnial Tea Party

This is not the political variety tea party. This was a fantabulous celebration. One of my friends from high school (Tammi) also homeschools her 4 children. She organizes a group of homeschooling families who share a common learning experience every year. While in high school Tammi and I worked together on the prom one year and what I can tell you about Tammi is that she is a class act, always going above and beyond what you expect. So when she called to invite us to join in the year end celebration and colonial tea, it didn’t take us long to accept. Most of the people there were in period costume. It was a true colonial tea party with George Washington coming to give a speech about the importance of these people in the fight against the Red Coats. Tea food – you can see the desserts, YUM! – lawn games, dancing including the Virginal Reel, period music and much more. Tammi’s oldest daughter Emma became instant friends with Cami.

Many thanks to Bill and Tammi and all their friends for including us and making us feel welcomed and included in the festivities.
