After Easter the girls and I took off on our own, stopping in Casa Grande for a time. This was the first time I had to back the trailer into a space. Luckily we were in a fabulous SKP park with a very helpful host who directed me back. The weather got a little warmer and while Flint was freezing in Washington, we were running the air conditioner. We took some time to visit the Casa Grande Ruins for our first encounter with the ancient native people of the southwest. We had a few quiet days then headed up into the mountains of Southeastern Arizona to the Tonto National Monument and Lake Roosevelt.
